Freedom is Not Free—But the Firearms Freedom Symposium Is!

====FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE====

February 23, 2013

With the increasing frequency of both State and Federal legislation that infringe on the firearms freedoms secured in the United States through the Second Amendment, the need for citizens concerned with freedom to be well informed, connected and properly grounded is imperative.

Because of deep concern with this issue, the Ozarks PRC (Ozarks Property Rights Coalition) is inviting media, elected officials, Sheriffs and Peace Officers and their fellow citizens to attend the Firearms Freedom Symposium on March 5th, 2013. The event will be held at the Remington Event Center, and doors will open at 3pm, with a tremendous cast of speakers beginning about 5pm.

Confirmed speakers for the event include, Sheriff Richard Mack of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, John Weaver, a firearms instructor, Ted Weiland, author and preacher, and Larry Pratt, Executive Director of Gun Owners of America. Stewart Rhodes of Oathkeepers is unconfirmed for the event, but a representative for the organization will be speaking if Rhodes cannot attend.

The focus of this Symposium will be the actual effects on a nation under gun control measures. Historical effects and mechanisms used to achieve these restrictions will be elaborated upon, along with effective actions to fight these infringements, At the end of the speaker’s presentations there will be a question and answer round table session

Gun stores, vendors of firearms accessories, preparedness items and freedom oriented organizations info will be able to support the event and also sell some wares. Advertisement in the brochure for the event is also available and interested parties should contact Mike Slack at 417-264-2435 or by email at mike65807@yahoo.com.

Eric Vimont, the chief coordinator for the event, says, “History shows, gun control is a direct path to tyranny. We cannot allow our firearms freedoms to be infringed upon, and the gentlemen speaking at this event will bring the issue into absolute clarity. Our goal is to inform and unify our region around the cause of Freedom!”

The event is free to the public, but donations are needed and welcome.

Here is the original announcement for the event!

February 6th, 2013

As the US Federal Government continues to move toward initiating more strident gun control mechanisms, Americans are pushing back against the stated desires of many in the Federal level. The Missouri Ozarks, as a whole, is solidly against any further gun control measures.

In the face of the federal level measures we are likely to face, the Ozarks PRC (Ozarks Property Rights Coalition) is inviting media, elected officials and the public to attend the Firearms Freedom Symposium on March 5th, 2013. The event will be held at the Remington Event Center, and doors will open at 6pm.

John Weaver, a firearms instructor, Ted Weiland, author and preacher, and Larry Pratt, Executive Director of Gun Owners of America will be speaking. The focus of this Symposium will be the actual effects on a nation under gun control measures. Historical effects and mechanisms used to achieve these restrictions will be elaborated upon.  Each speaker will have a question and answer segment following their presentation.

Gun stores, vendors of firearms accessories, preparedness items and info will be able to support the event and also sell some wares. Donations of firearms related items for a drawing to cover event expenses are also appreciated.

    A draconian gun control law is being pushed in the Missouri legislature. It rivals New York’s laws. Locals say it will never happen. So we thought with Obama Care. We need to be at the upcoming rally 3, 5, 2013 in order to get organized and ready. Car pool!

  2. Donna g says:

    Just so everyone knows, my computer died on me, and I can’t get this dinosaur of my husband’s to work with me in anything approaching a reasonable manner. I will get the Sponsor Page up for the Symposium as soon as I possibly can, but all of my files are on my dead Macbook, and I’ve ordered a new hard drive and memory which I will put in asap…Pray with me that it isn’t the logic board! Thanks for being understanding…Doreen
