Ozark Scenic Riverways Town Hall Meeting

As part of a response to the National Park Service’s proposed General Management Plan of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways Sen. Mike Cunningham  and representatives of Lt Gov Peter Kinder, Congressman Jason Smith and Senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskil will be participating in a  question-and-answer meeting from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday January 3, at the Fun and Friends Senior Center, in Thayer to allow constituents speak with legislators about the proposal.
The NPS is proposing a change to the General Management Plan of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Sen. Cunningham and Rep. Jeff Pogue, along with 23 other lawmakers recently sent a letter to the director of the NPS, stating their concerns with the proposed plan. Congressman Jason Smith and Lt Gov Peter Kinder have also expressed opposition to the plan. Representatives from the National Park Service have been invited.
All concerned citizens are welcome and the public are invited to express their opinions.  The meeting  in jointly sponsored by the Commonsense Property Rights Coalition, the Campaign for Liberty and Americas Voice Now. For information call 417-264-2435.
