Freedom Festival – Koshkonong April 20

Celebrating American patriotism and self-reliance is the theme of the Ozarks Freedom Festival, Koshkonong City Park April 20 from 9 am – 4 pm.

Koshkonong is located 15 miles south of West Plains on Highway 63. Sponsored by the Commonsense Property Rights Coalition in Oregon County, the family friendly event will feature speakers on topics including rights of landowners, firearms freedom, food freedom, how to express your opinion to your elected representatives, privacy rights, the negative effects of the Real ID act in Missouri, and how to participate in the privacy protection lawsuits filed against the state of Missouri recently.

Self-reliance topics will induce how to prepare for an emergency, emergency shelter, food storage, water safety, emergency medical treatment, radio communications, making your own weapons and other topics.

Speakers will include Mike Evans, host of the Americas Voice Now radio program, former Congressional candidate Bob Parker, Jerry King of Voice of the Ozarks, Jerry Diamond and others to be announced. All Missouri State Representatives and State Senators representing southern Missouri  have been invited and offered a chance to speak.
Additionally all four candidates competing for the vacant 8th Congressional District seat in Congress have been invited.
Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder has also been invited to attend and inform citizens on is efforts to protect the privacy rights of Missouri citizens.

Oath Keepers Board member and Montana President Elias Alias will attend, and will conduct a Reaffirmation of the Oath Ceremony.
All military veterans and all current and former peace officers, fire fighters, EMTs and first responders
are welcome to participate and reaffirm their oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Live music and performances will occur all day in celebration of American freedom including local bluegrass,
country and gospel music performances and a special performance by the Brett Adams family Scottish County Dancers.
A barbeque  will occur with and for those wanting a special treat Spring Dipper homemade ice cream will be on hand with several flavors of the best ice cream in two states.
